Our induction programme will ensure your staff are well equiped to meet the demands of the social care sector. This interactive and thought provoking induction programme ensures the theoretical components of the Skills for Care Induction are met, by using taught sessions, a workbook and 1-1 support for candidates.
Duration: 28 Hours
(Delivered flexibly to meet employer need over a maximum 12 week period)
Group size: Maximum 12 people
Course content:
Day 1: Introduction to the health and social care sector. (care value base, communication, confidentiality, health and safety, reporting and recording, infection control, safeguarding adults. All candidates will be issued with a Skills for Care Induction workbook to be completed within 10 weeks)
Day 2: Moving and handling training day
Day 3: Emergency first aid qualification
Day 4: Food safety (half day) training
Day 5: 1-1 session with candidate to review the workbook, sign off induction standards and action plan for future training needs.
This Induction package will provide evidence required to meet many of the standards for the core units at level 2 or 3 in the award, certificate or diploma in Health and Social Care.
Induction delivery and design can be ammended to meet particular organisation and client needs.
